Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Evaluations (PICUEs) software enables users to compute and track:
- Standardized Mortality Ratios (SMR), Standardized Length of Stay Ratios (SLOSR) and Efficiency including analyses by clinical service and patient category.
- Comparative analyses suitable for external benchmarking as well as internal benchmarking. This includes direct comparisons to 28 other PICUs in the US and the historical standard of 20,000 patients used to develop the prediction algorithms.
- Tracking resource utilization including the use of monitoring and therapeutic modalities, and the importance of long-stay patients.
- An extensive administrative data base.
The current software is a single, one-time only fee that replaces the annual site license fee in previous versions. The pricing structure is dependent on the economic classification to enable greater international use. Country classification can be found at the following web site: www.worldbank.org/
Low Income Economies: $1500
Lower Middle Income Economies: $3000
Upper Middle Income Economies: $5000
High Income Economies: $9500 ($7500 prior to 4/1/01).
