Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist
The University of Rochester School of Medicine is initiating a search for a Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist.
This is a full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level within the Department of Pediatrics to join a team of 9 other Cardiac Intensivists and 9 Cardiac ICU trained APPs in a busy program that encompasses all of upstate New York led by two Congenital Cardiac Surgeons and a team of Cardiac Anesthesiologists and Cardiac Electrophysiologists and Interventionalists. He/she will serve as attending physician responsible for the care of critically ill children with acquired and congenital heart disease and adults with congenital heart disease in the current 16-bed CICU. Service time will be commensurate with the Division needs with a benchmark of 8- 12 weeks, including the opportunity to work in the medical/surgical PICU and/or sedation service for those with appropriate certification. This position entails a commitment to teaching pediatric cardiac critical care and pediatric cardiology fellows, advanced practice providers, and nursing and other unit-based staff.

Desired Qualifications:
• MD or DO degree required
• Board certified/eligible in Pediatrics
• Board certified/eligible in either pediatric critical care or pediatric cardiology with additional formal advanced clinical training in cardiac intensive care medicine (minimum of 12 months)
