HS Clinical, Clinical X, Adjunct, and In Residence Faculty Series
The Division of Critical Care Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals are recruiting faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor ranks of the Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, Clinical X, Adjunct, or In Residence faculty series. Academic rank is commensurate with experience.

Selected candidates will join a major academic medical center and an established fellowship training program. This position may have clinical responsibilities at both the San Francisco and Oakland campuses and will actively contribute to the Department's mission of excellence in research, education, and patient care.
Serving the pediatric intensive care units (ICUs) of the Benioff Children's Hospitals, our pediatric ICU in Mission Bay is a 20-bed monitored unit, and the pediatric ICU in Oakland is a 22-bed monitored unit. Both locations provide care to a multidisciplinary population of patients that includes post-operative orthopedic, ENT, neurosurgical, renal/liver/pancreas transplant, complex GI and hepatology patients, medically fragile and complex children with special needs, and trauma. Pediatric residents, advanced NPs, and critical care fellows provide continuity of care to these units. Daily rounds occur in a multidisciplinary fashion supported by pharmacy, social work, case management, as well as a nutritionist.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will possess a medical degree and license, board eligibility or certification in pediatrics, and board eligibility or certification in pediatric critical care. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated expertise in the practice and teaching of clinical critical care medicine. Preferred candidates will show interest in a career in academic pediatrics.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. This position includes membership in the [health sciences compensation plan](https://ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf) which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
