Requisition ID 31676BR Travel Required Up to 25% Major/Essential Functions Provides vision, leadership, and strategic direction in promoting the educational, research, and clinical service missions of the Division Mentors faculty, residents, and medical students Engages in and promotes scholarship and quality improvement initiatives within the Division and the Department Fosters a culture of collaboration across service lines (trauma, pediatric surgery, pediatric emergency medicine) to care for critically ill patients Provides comprehensive care for seriously ill newborns, infants, children, and adolescents or those needing a high-level of monitoring in a pediatric intensive care unit Supervises medical students, residents, and advanced practice professionals in the clinical setting Ensures compliance with HIPPAA and billing regulations Demonstrate Professionalism in accordance with the Paul L Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility Grant Funded? Required Qualifications M.D. or D.O. degree, or foreign equivalent Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatrics Residency Program Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program Texas license or eligibility for licensure in the State of Texas Board Certification in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics Experience with the education of medical students and residents Progressive experience in management and leadership in an academic health center A record of scholarly achievement in pediatric critical care medicine Emerging regional or national professional reputation Does this position work in a research laboratory?
