MedStar Georgetown University Hospital (MGUH) seeks a Pediatric Intensivist to join our growing pediatric service based in a multidisciplinary clinical, academic and research environment.  The PICU is now in the regrowth phase after having been downsized during the COVID era.   Our PICU is a unit which serves both medical and surgical patients.  In addition to standard PICU patients MGUH has a busy pediatric transplant service (primarily liver and bowel), the intensivist team also maintains an active pediatric sedation service.

There is an active ground and air transport system with an excellent flight nurse crew. The individual selected will provide patient care, teaching and consultative services and join a collaborative team of clinicians. Candidates who are interested in teaching will be pleased to know that we maintain a dynamic pediatric residency program and the intensivist team is actively engaged in their education.

Position includes faculty appointment at Georgetown University with competitive compensation and a generous benefits package.

Qualified candidates must hold a MD/DO degree and be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Intensive Care.  Candidate must be able to obtain medical licensure in Washington, D.C. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals to advance clinical programs are essential.
