The Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Pediatric Neurocritical Care Fellowship Program is a one-year, non-ACGME-accredited clinical fellowship designed for board-certified or board-eligible pediatric intensivists seeking specialized training in Pediatric Neurocritical Care.

About the Fellowship
The Pediatric Neurocritical Care Fellowship offers a well-rounded training experience, including:

  • Active Clinical Service: Hands-on experience in a dedicated 10-bed Pediatric Neuro Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU), the only one of its kind in the region.
  • Research Opportunities: Structured research training to advance the field of pediatric neurocritical care.
  • Academic Curriculum: Comprehensive academic programming tailored to develop expertise in managing complex neurocritical cases.

The Neuro ICU is supported by a multidisciplinary team, including experienced neurosurgeons, 3 board-certified Neurocritical Care Intensivists, and the largest pediatric neurology specialty group in the region.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must have successfully completed:

  • A residency in Pediatrics
  • A fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care or Child Neurology (ACGME-accredited programs)
