The Cardiac PICU at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital will have openings for Housedoc positions with benefits in July 2024.
Our housedocs cover 11, 12 hour shifts in a 4 week block including NIGHTS and WEEKENDS. They work as frontline providers, along side our NPs, and are directly supervised by our PICU fellows and PICU attendings (who are in-house 24/7).
The position comes with the rank of Instructor in Clinical Pediatrics at Columbia University Medical Center and a NYP MSCH hospital appointment (Assistant Attending). Housedocs will care for children with congenital and acquired heart disease, postoperative patients, and those supported by VADS, ECMO, CRRT, HFOV, and conventional and noninvasive ventilation. Participation in resident and fellow didactic education is possible but not required.
Successful candidates will have completed a pediatric residency before starting. We are looking for a 1 year commitment and there are opportunities for moonlighting.
