Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida seeks several additional Pediatric Critical Care Medicine physicians in support of our growing program. JHACH is a 259-bed teaching hospital, ranked as a U.S. News & World Report Best Children’s Hospital in 6 pediatric specialties (2024-2025). We have also been ranked again as the #1 Children’s Hospital in Florida. JHACH is the only US hospital outside the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. location that is part of the Johns Hopkins Medicine system.
Our division staffs a 28-bed pediatric intensive care unit with 13 attendings and roughly 2,000 admissions annually. Our program supports an ACGME-approved fellowship training program in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine with 2 fellows/year (6 total). Our high-volume, tertiary pediatric referral center has expertise in pediatric emergency medicine, expanded sub-specialty surgical and medical services, and advanced pediatric transport supporting the greater Tampa Bay, Southwest Florida, and Central Florida regions. We see a broad range of patients including neurocritical care, trauma management, extracorporeal life support (ECLS), continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), the full spectrum mechanical ventilation strategies, and other innovative therapeutics for the care of critically ill children.
Preferred candidates will be fellowship trained in pediatric critical care medicine and also demonstrate a track record of excellence in clinical care, graduate medical education or research. Qualified candidates are eligible for a faculty appointment at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. There are many opportunities for physicians to develop clinical, educational, and research interests.
