ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Connecticut Children's is looking for a BE/BC Pediatric Intensivist to join our critical care team in our 18 bed PICU. This is primarily a clinical position, but the ideal candidate will be expected to be involved in other activities, such as teaching, quality improvement, clinical program development, etc. Our philosophy is to provide evidence-based, high-intensity, family-centered, compassionate care.
The hospital has an independent pediatric residency program. We are also responsible for teaching Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellows and medical students. We see a commitment to teaching as one of the core values of our division - a pediatric facility that delivers vital and lifesaving care for children and their families throughout the region.
Position Specific Role Responsibilities
Experience providing health care in pediatric critical care settings. Demonstrated teaching and leadership experience with strong leadership potential.
Education Required:
Requirements include MD or DO degree.
Experience Required: Three years of pediatric specialty residency training.
Three or more years of fellowship training in pediatric critical care. Candidates with experience or training in pediatric cardiac intensive care are encouraged to apply.
