Community Medical Center, a leading healthcare system in Western Montana, is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Critical Care Physician to join our dynamic team. With a tradition of personalized, high-quality care, our center offers a supportive environment, backed by academic affiliation with the University of Washington.
Position Highlights:
Hospital:
- Serves a vast geographic area including Missoula and surrounding communities across Montana and neighboring states.
- Robust Level 3 NICU with Maternal-Fetal Medicine and OB services (~1,100 deliveries annually).
- Local subspecialty support includes 24/7 Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Anesthesiology, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Gastroenterology, ENT, and Urology. Tele-consult available for other subspecialties including Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Nephrology, Pediatric Hematology and others.
PICU:
- 4-bed PICU with an adjoining pediatric ward staffed by Pediatric Hospitalists.
- Average Daily Census of 1; cases may vary in acuity as a regional referral center. Average 4-8 pediatric sedation cases per week.
- No ECMO, CRRT, or cardiac surgery.
Job Requirements: Successful candidates will be Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. Prefer 4+ years of prior attending experience.
Schedule: 24-hour shifts. Pediatric hospitalist team takes first call overnights. The intensivist also runs a pediatric sedation service during weekday hours and as needed.

- Part-time (0.5 FTE) - 7.5 shifts per month
