OU Health with the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, OK is currently recruiting a BE/BC pediatric cardiac intensivist. Full-time positions are offered for experienced as well as recent fellowship graduates.  The candidate will join the division of Pediatric Critical Care with 9 cardiac intensivists and 10 general intensivists.  The position is open to persons with either a background in cardiology or critical care along with the 4th year fellowship in CICU.  The cardiac ICU is part of the Heart Center at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital OU Health.  The unit is 25 beds but is expanding to add a 10 bed step-down unit.  In addition to the CICU faculty, the unit is covered by 2 cardiac surgeons and 17 cardiologists.

Faculty responsibilities include patient care, supervision and education of residents, fellows, medical students and advanced practice providers. Career opportunities exist in research, medical education or administration.

The Heart Center program at OU Children’s Hospital OU Health in Oklahoma City, OK is the only comprehensive heart center in the state of Oklahoma and has been recognized in US News as one of the top 50 programs in the country for the last three consecutive years.  The heart center has excellent subspecialty services with advanced imaging center, cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology and heart failure VAD and transplant.  Our center performs more than 500 surgical cases annually with excellent outcomes reported through the national STS database.
