Cardiac Intensivist at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital / The Congenital Heart Collaborative
The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Cardiac Critical Care at UH Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital and Case Western Reserve School of Medicine is seeking an additional full-time cardiac intensivists to join our growing program in association with The Congenital Heart Collaborative.
Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital is an internationally renowned, academic children's hospital located adjacent to MacDonald's Women's Hospital and the University Hospitals Medical Center. We provide the highest-quality care to infants, children, and adolescents with complex congenital heart disease through The Congenital Heart Collaborative, a comprehensive affiliation between Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital and Nationwide Children's Hospital Heart Programs.
You would be joining the Rainbow-based team, which includes 6 Cardiac Intensivists, 11 Pediatric Cardiologists, 2 Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeons, and 3 Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologists. Our new state-of-the-art Pediatric Cardiac ICU opened in November 2023. On our Cleveland campus, we perform cardiac surgeries of all complexities as well as fetal cardiac interventions and complex pediatric catheterization procedures in our adjacent Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab/Hybrid Operating Rooms.
Care of children, including pre- and post-operative neonates is supported by an interdisciplinary team of dedicated Critical Care and Cardiology fellows, PCICU-dedicated Advanced Practice Providers, specialized nurses and respiratory therapists, PharmDs, nutritionists, social workers, and others.
Supplementing clinical responsibilities will be a faculty appointment at Case Western Reserve University with rank commensurate with experience and credentials. Support for research, quality improvement, career development, leadership, education, and other academic pursuits are amply available.
The successful candidates will be well-supported at a world-class Children's Hospital with 60+ years of experience in the care of patients with pediatric and adult congenital and pediatric acquired heart disease, an outstanding educational and research enterprise at Case Western Reserve University, and an internationally recognized program partner with Nationwide Children's Hospital Heart Center. The Congenital Heart Collaborative is a dedicated, comprehensive heart program with a common executive administration that functions as a single program on two campuses. The Collaborative is committed to expanding access to high-quality comprehensive cardiac care regardless of patient age, while equally embracing a scholarly and educational mission.
