- Job Notice Policy (3/25/99; updated 7/3/99, 4/25/2000, 10/24/2005, 8/31/2006)
- The ongoing development and maintenance of the PedsCCM website consumes real resources and funding sources are needed. Advertising for employment positions in print and now electronic media is accepted practice. The placement of available job notices on this website is a valuable function that has been performed until now as a free service. Recognizing that professional search firms are paid to advertise, and that many institutions and departments have offered to remunerate PedsCCM as well, we offer the following policy change:
- Professional search firms are asked to pay PedsCCM $100 per year per notice. Adjacent to the listing a "paid advertisement" notice would appear.
- All other submitted jobs will be posted as has been our standard practice, with an email being sent to the author informing them that their job is being posted to this website, and that we are asking for a voluntary contribution to PedsCCM of $100 per year per notice. If such a contribution is submitted, they will get a "contribution paid" indicator next to their job notice. These individuals or institutions are under no obligation to contribute; their job notice would remain whether or not a contribution is submitted.
- All employers or search firms would be contacted yearly to either renew or remove the ad as appropriate. (All are encouraged to contact us promptly when their position is filled.)
- Only jobs submitted on the website forms will be accepted. A valid email address is needed to confirm the submission. If you wish to make a small change or delete an existing listing in our database, an email is appropriate. If you wish to substantially revise your listing, please complete a new form and indicate it should replace the existing listing (in the "additional instructions" field).
- This policy will apply both to physician and nursing positions. Questions or comments regarding this policy should be directed to PedsCCM directly by email. Please email us for payment instructions if you are interested in contributing.
- NOTE: All funds are managed for PedsCCM by the Business Office of the Department of Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine, Children's Hospital Los Angleles.
