Health Sciences University is seeking 1 additional full-time academic
physician at the Assistant/Associate Professor level for a position
in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care. The new Doernbecher Children's
Hospital has a 16-bed state-of-the-art PICU with single patient rooms,
digital radiography, and two research offices/labs. The Division currently
consists of 4 FTE pediatric critical care physicians.
Responsibilities include patient care (including postoperative cardiac
surgery), pediatric transport, medical student and resident education,
and administrative duties. The position is for a candidate who is interested
in pursuing an academic career, has received training in a specific
field of critical care research, will actively pursue a research career
at OHSU, and has demonstrated the potential for becoming a successful
investigator in the future. Priority will be given to someone who can
assume the medical directorship for a new ECMO program scheduled to
start in late 2000. Qualifications include a MD or MD/PhD degree, board
certified/board eligible in Pediatrics, board certified/board eligible
in Pediatric Critical Care, and eligible for Oregon medical license.

Intensivist sought for private practice position at Valley Children's
Hospital, in Madera, California, an affiliate of UCSF. This is a

The Division of Critical Care Medicine at the Arnold Palmer Hospital
for Children and Women and the Nemours Children's Clinic-Orlando,

The Division of Critical Care at the University of Kentucky Children's
Hospital is seeking another board certified/board eligible pediatric
intensivist to begin employment in 2000.
The division currently consists of three full-time intensivists and
one part-time faculty member with responsibilities in other divisions.

Cook Children's Medical Center, Fort Worth, Texas is seeking

St. Vincent Hospital and Health Services - Indianapolis is seeking
a fourth Critical Care Physician. St. Vincent is a 790-bed community
hospital on the growing north side of Indianapolis. St. Vincent has
a large and active network in Primary Care Pediatrics and Family Practice.

The Division of Pediatric Critical Care in The Department of Pediatrics
at the Nemours Childrens Clinic in Pensacola, Florida is recruiting

The Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine of the Medical
College of Virginia (MCV), Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU),

A Pediatric Critical Care Subspecialist is being sought to join four
existing pediatric intensivists. Intensive Care Services Associates
is a private pediatric critical and inpatient care practice which has
served the Tampa Bay area for 14 years. We are recruiting a BC/BE Pediatric
Intensivist to provide care at All Children's Hospital, a 216
bed, freestanding children's health center in St. Petersburg, which

The Childrens Medical Center of Brooklyn seeks a fourth physician,

The Childrens Medical Center of Brooklyn provides ICU care at both

The development and success of a Division of Pediatric Critical Care

The Pediatric Critical Care Service (PCCS) at Cape Fear Valley Medical
Center (CFVMC) in Fayetteville, North Carolina is recruiting a BC/BE

The PCCS is currently staffed by two pediatric critical care specialists.
The Pediatric Special Care Unit (PSCU) is a newly developed unit that
serves as an acute medical, surgical, and trauma unit for the pediatric

CFVMC is a 696-bed regional medical center that serves the ever-growing
needs of residents of Fayetteville, Cumberland County and southeastern
North Carolina. The Center includes the Regional Neonatal Program supported
by a 44-bed, level III NICU. The Family Birth Center delivers 4,500

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma College
of Medicine is seeking a third pediatric intensivist for a full
time position in the Pediatric Critical Care Section at the assistant
or associate professor level. Clinical Services are provided at the
Children's Hospital of Oklahoma in a 16-bed multidisciplinary Pediatric
Intensive Care Unit with over 800 admissions annually. A 12-bed multidisciplinary
Intermediate Care Unit is currently being developed in existing facilities
adjacent to the Pediatric ICU.
Responsibilities include patient care, supervision and teaching of
house staff in pediatrics and medicine-pediatrics as well as medical
students and clinical research. The Department of Pediatrics and the
Critical Care Section are particularly interested in candidates with
interest and experience in the development of clinical trials.
The critical care section seeks to initiate a research presence and
has the support and encouragement of the Department of Pediatrics and
the College of Medicine. It is the intent of the section to provide
adequate protected time for scholarly activity and the Department of
Pediatrics is committed to providing start-up funds, seed grants and
laboratory space to a qualified candidate. The Department of Pediatrics

The Division of Critical Care Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics
at SUNY Health Science Center, Syracuse is recruiting a fourth
pediatric intensivist at the assistant or associate professor level.
We are seeking candidates with strong clinical and teaching skills,
who will make scholarly contributions in critical care medicine. Candidates
must be BC/BE, and eligible for a New York State medical license.
Patient care responsibilities include supervision of 21 critical care
beds (ICU and Intermediate Units) which admit more than 1000 patients
annually. The position also includes a limited responsibility for supervision
of a general pediatric ward. An opportunity is available for the interested
candidate to assume a leadership role in "hospitalist" activities.
Teaching responsibilities include pediatric and emergency medicine
residents as well as anesthesia-critical care fellows in the PICU. In
addition, we provide regional continuing professional education in pediatric

Pediatrics at the SUNY Health Science Center is the only tertiary
pediatric program for a 2 million population referral area of Central

Big, busy, and still growing, the Division of Pediatric Critical Care/Pulmonary
Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a 14th

NYU Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital, are seeking two Pediatric
Intensivists for full-time academic positions in the newly created Critical
Care Program in the Department of Pediatrics. Responsibilities include
clinical care in a combined 12 bed pediatric ICU, teaching, research,
and development of a conscious sedation program. The positions have
an anticipated starting date of July 1, 1999. One position will be as
Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit At Bellevue Hospital.
Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and
experience.
The division consists of 4 faculty members . Required qualifications:
MD degree, Pediatric Critical Care board eligible/certified and eligibility
for a New York medical license. Experience in cardiac post-op management
is desirable.
Planning for an approved redesign and expansion of the PICU at the
NYU Medical Center is currently underway. The NYU Medical Center and
