Program Issues:

How can pediatric subspecialists who care for critically ill children ensure the survival of, and access to, pediatric intensive care services in a managed care environment? This conference will explore the knowledge and strategies necessary for subspecialists to become proactive in seeking the highest quality of care for children in the world of managed competition. Nationally prominent faculty will combine their experience and projections for the future so that pediatric subspecialists can prepare for the new environment. The conference will feature lectures, workshops, and question-and-answer sessions to allow ample opportunity to discuss with faculty and participants the practical issues facing the subspecialist in the changing health care system.
