An opportunity in Southern California for a PICU/Pediatric CNS for a growing pediatric service line. Located about one hour east of Los Angeles, this 350 bed community hospital has a large general peds unit and 10 bed PICU. This hospital provides the only pediatric transport in the community. This CNS position is unit and service based. Ideal candidates will have a solid PICU background including transport, cardiac and critical care knowledge. Although MSN is required, we can consider candidates bringing the right clinical background who are nearing completion of their program. If you are a CNS interested in a new opportunity, we'd like to talk to you.

A University affiliated Children's Hospital in the Midwest has an immediate need for an experienced PICU NURSE MANAGER. This 16-bed unit sees intricate cases and often has several patients on ECMO and CVVH. The hospital is a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and those patients are admitted to the PICU. The Manager will direct over 58 FTEs and nearly a $3 million budget. There is a unit-based CNS and educator to support the PICU.

Ideal candidates will share and promote the hospital's philosophy to provide family-centered care. We seek a clinically sound Manager who is an open communicator and a nursing advocate. Experience working with Pediatric Intensivists is a plus. BSN required, Master's strongly preferred. There is an attractive salary, benefit and relocation package.

The community offers live theater, museums, major universities, arts and jazz festivals, great parks, restaurants, and shopping. Recreational options include beautiful sites to golf, hike, jog, canoe, bike or ski, and there are major league sports teams to root for. There is easy access to a major international airport. It's about a four-hour drive to Chicago. In today's climate of downsizing and mergers, you may have colleagues available for something new. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a major organization with quality leadership.
